New Product Update:
Kaddy Bracket UTV
Trade Show Update - ATA and SHOT Show
Hello all and welcome back to the Bulletin. I hope everyone has been
enjoying the splendor of fall with some scouting, equipment tuning and
as much hunting as possible! With big games seasons well underway
across most of North America, the time is nigh to grab your gear, get out there
and make some memories!
At home here in Alberta, I'll have to stick to deer and coyote hunting this fall
as I don't have any special licenses in my pocket. The "draw gods" frowned
on me for some reason and my name was not selected for antelope archery or bull
moose. But that's okay. With the eastern Alberta CWD (Chronic Wasting
Disease) cull in my home WMU, there will be ample opportunity to put some
venison in the freezer and, good Lord willing, maybe even something on the wall!
Good luck to everyone this fantastic time of year.
Bowkaddy Coming to Wild TV!
It has always been somewhat of a dream to have my product show up on national
television. And now, two years after the creation of Alaris Concepts, a
contract recently signed with Peterson Outdoors has set this dream in motion.
Jason Peterson and his "Hunting Canada and Beyond" pro staff were given some
promotional units for use on their '07 spring black bear hunts. They got
some great product footage and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
One thing led to another, culminating in a full-fledged sponsorship for the 2008
airing season.
Among other terms, this sponsorship includes the production of a 30 second commercial. Look
for it to appear during airings of
Hunting
Canada and Beyond starting in January, 2008, on Canada's only Hunting
and Fishing network, Wild
TV. The show and ad will also appear later this year and next on
XONTV.
Since the cat is out of the bag, I might as well show you what the cat looks
like. Here's a pre-release peak at the video commercial, produced by Peterson
Outdoors, copyright 2007. All rights owned and reserved by Alaris
Concepts.
New Product Update - Kaddy Bracket
UTV!
Bowkaddy sales have always been dominated by the
ATV crowd. Sure, the extreme versatility of the product has found it homes
in vehicle cabs, truck beds, pro shops...even on wheelchairs, but Bowkaddy seems
to be the hottest ticket if you're outfitting a four-wheeler for bowhunting.
Now, though, it seems that the ATV has some competition...the UTV.
This new beast of transport has caught on big time with
nearly all major off-road manufacturers bringing at least one model to market...
Polaris
Ranger and Razor
Yamaha Rhino
Arctic Cat Prowler
Kawasaki Mule and Teryx
Kubota RTV
John Deere Gator
...and MORE!
The rising popularity of the side-by-side utility vehicle
and several inquiries from bowhunters such as you have prompted me to revisit
the draft board in a serious way. Most hard cases are not small enough to
fit in the box of these machines and both the manufacturers and accessory
companies are catering more to the gun crowd, leaving the bowhunter much to
his/her own means of getting gear to the stand safely and efficiently.
After extensive research on the most popular UTV models available, I am
confident in saying that Kaddy Bracket UTV is well on its way to production.
With three prototypes in the works, things are beginning to take shape.
Notice that the installation on the Yamaha Rhino above does not interfere with
the deployment of the tilt box.
The "KISS (Keep it simple stupid) principle" in the above right picture.
Only two U-bolt fasteners required.
The final version of the UTV bracket will be light, strong, versatile and easy
to install. One cool feature it will have is the ability to accommodate
either one bow horizontally as shown above or two bows vertically as shown
on the Prowler below. After all, these are 2-person outfits!
